Welcome to my cooking class! Today we will be making Chilli Con Carne - a classic Texas dish that is sure to please. This recipe is easy to prepare and can be served as an appetizer or main dish. So let's get started! ## Ingredients H2 - 1 pound ground beef - 1 onion, diced - 1 red bell pepper, diced - 2 cloves garlic, minced - 1 tablespoon chili powder - 2 teaspoons ground cumin - 1 teaspoon paprika - 1 teaspoon dried oregano - 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander - 1/2 teaspoon salt - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper - 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes - 1 (14.5 ounce) can kidney beans or black beans, drained and rinsed - 1 cup low-sodium beef broth - 2 tablespoons tomato paste ## Instructions H2 1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Break up the beef into small pieces with a wooden spoon as it cooks. 2. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic and cook until vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes. 3. Add the chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, coriander, salt, and pepper and stir to combine. 4. Add the diced tomatoes, beans, beef broth, and tomato paste and stir to combine. 5. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. 6. Serve over rice or with tortilla chips. Enjoy!
